Roadmap to a Quality Early Learning and Child Care System in Manitoba

• What are the guiding principles behind early learning and child care services?
• What needs to be included to suppor the foundational elements of a system.

This is not merely about expanding the supply of licensed caer and reducing child care fees.

• How do we ensure that high-quality, licensed spaces are grounded in early years pedagogy delivered by educated and equitably remunerated Early Childhood Educators? There needs to be a plan, a vision and a roadmap.

As we wait for the public release of the Canada-Manitoba Agreement, MCCA has started this work. In the upcoming weeks, we will be gathering stakeholders from a breadth of expertise to define this roadmap.
