The Manitoba Child Care Association (MCCA) is now accepting applications from members interested in serving on our Provincial Board of Directors. There are two-year and one-year positions open. Elections will be held at our Annual General Meeting, Thursday, May 21, 2026. The term of office will begin immediately following the AGM.
We are seeking applications from members who have an understanding of and commitment to MCCA’s mission, vision, goals, values, strategic plan and Code of Ethics. MCCA values reconciliation, equity, diversity and inclusion and ensures it is embedded and reflected in its work. We encourage applicants to self-declare. Successful applicants will have an extensive knowledge of early learning and child care as a service and as a profession at the local, provincial and national level. In addition to strong interpersonal skills, the ability to objectively consider perspectives and 4-6 hours per month to devote to MCCA business is required. We welcome applications from members who have a diverse range of experiences in and knowledge of the early learning and child care sector and who will work collaboratively with all government leaders. Previous volunteer experience with MCCA is an asset.
