Eligible Candidates

Victoria Albert Daycare Inc. located inside of Victoria Albert School downtown is looking for a FULL TIME PERMANENT ECE 2/3 just like you! Come join our fast growing group of caregivers! We are looking for:

  • Early Childhood Educator 2/3 (will also consider an CCA in training if you are close to completing your education)
  • Trained in Circle of Security
  • Experience working with children ages 3-12 years old
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts (split or straight) between the hours of 6:45-5:45 Monday to Friday; shifts may change depending upon the needs of the Centre
  • Current First Aid/CPR C
  • Cleared Criminial Record Check (within the past 3 months)
  • Cleared Child Abuse Registry Check (within the past 3 months)
  • Passionate about childcare and the families we serve in our community
  • Passionate about learning more about the childcare field, advocating, and taking professional development workshops
  • Motivated and inspiring to your team
  • Take the lead and jump in to help
  • Creative and an out of the box thinker
  • Child at heart! Playing actively and engaging with all of the children
  • Excellent program planner who can plan, implement, and execute well rounded activities for all of the children with observation and documentation of the children's interests
  • Experience working in a play-based, emergent environment which focuses on STEAM play, loose parts, experimenting, and creativity of all ages and stages
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral, written, etc)
  • Experience with challenging behaviours, problem solving, and proactive with solutions
  • Ability to build strong and positive relationships with children, families, community, and team
  • Great work ethic: punctual, reliable, eagerness to actively participate and grow with the program, lifelong learner
