Victor Play Centre is looking to add an ECE 2 to work with our Preschool and Nursery/Kinder children.  Must have experience working with this age group and able to plan and implement activities both indoors and outdoors for the children.  This is a full time, straight shift, permanent position.  Must be available between 730am-530pm (hours will be between these times).  We do not rotate shifts!  We are licensed for 46 children, ages 2-12 and are located downtown near the Health Science Centre. We offer sick time, holidays, bonuses, ECE week, parking, competitive salary and benefits (after probation period).  Pay will start at $19.54 and will depend on experience and qualifications.  We have an amazing team of staff and looking for someone who fits well into our centre.  This position has a flexible start date.

*This position has the possibility of turning into a management position for the right candidate (Salary will increase).*

• The candidate must have a passion for working with Preschool and School Age children and engaging in their play and learning.
• The candidate must have strong leadership and planning skills to guide the staff in our programming.
• The candidate must be responsible, reliable and have a strong work ethic!
• The candidate will be responsible for Preschool and Nursery/Kinder aged children.
• Candidates must have their ECE 2 classification, current First Aid and CPR certificate, clear a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and be a team player, the ability to adapt and be flexible, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of menu planning, and be familiar with the provincial licensing manual.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
