| Description | South Winnipeg Kinderschule is looking for German-speaking enthusiastic and independent CCA or ECE to join our small Nursery School Centre in the River Heights neighbourhood in Winnipeg. We are a 20-space Nursery School open weekday mornings from 8:30-11:30 M-F. There is flexibility to the engagement with between 12-20 hrs per week. We are small, local, and uniquely tied to our community. Job Duties include: Working with children and cleaning the centre on a daily basis. Clerical work such as maintaining files on Credentials, Qualifications, Attendance, and Registration Information of Families, Field Trips, Curriculum, etc. Ensuring adherence to Best Practices Licensing Manual in day-to-day operations of the centre, including safety. Curricular Planning, including centre activities and field trips, which further entail trip planning, safety coordination, and document preparation. Participating and liaising with various Board Portfolios such as Advertising, Fundraising, Grant Writing, Hiring, Oktoberfest, etc. Leading Festival preparation and coordinating with community members (including broader German community). Ensuring confidentiality and security of personal information held at the centre. Writing a weekly newsletter for communication with parents (text and photo editing knowledge required). Maintenance of accounts with Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service, Police Services, Manitoba Child Care Association, Website Hosting and Domain Hosting companies. Relaying communications to Licensing Body, Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care, re: regulations such as Covid rules, infections disease reporting, suspected child abuse reporting, filing weekly centre status updates, logging month attendance records, etc. Liaising with any contacts from within the local or international German community; at times, coordinate visits from German students (roughly every three years). — Wage is based on experience as per the MCCA’s Market Competitive Salary Guideline Scale. |
| Eligible Candidates |
Eligible candidates: Should have the ability to speak in German. Must be completely reliable; independence is a must. Must be ECE Level 2 Classified or able to work towards ECE-2 classification. Experience working in a child care setting is an asset. |
