Child Care Assistant

We’re looking for a caring, articulate professional who has some experience with children and families. Our next CCA is someone who can be a high-energy problem solver who models collaboration with adults and children. Community focus is a large part of our program, and someone who values togetherness and camaraderie is necessary to fill that role. We have a tremendous love for all children and focus on seeing the value each person brings to our program. As such, we expect our staff to work closely with everyone, regardless of need or behaviour, with enthusiasm and kindness.

Successful applicants will be required to complete criminal records/vulnerable sector/child abuse registry checks. First aid is not a requirement for applying but will be required to be completed before the position begins. Successful applicants will undergo a short training program to familiarize themselves with the standards and qualities of early learning and child care at KPCC.

Kings Park Child Care is accepting applications for a CCA in our mixed-age child care program. Your employment term will include an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00-6:00, Monday - Friday (excluding holidays), on a term basis as an inclusion support staff.

An open-minded, hard-working individual who enjoys the outdoors, with a thirst for learning! We need someone who enjoys and can work in a team setting with the ability to take control when needed. This person has excellent verbal and writing communication skills, a good level of computer literacy, some skills with their hands, and a willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
