Child Care Assistant

We offer group benefits, paid professional development, paid MCCA membership, personal days, sick days, $250.00 yearly health plan, a pension plan, and an RRSP plan.  Staff receive 1/2 hour of lunch paid daily with one hour break. We also provide financial support to CCA who wish to upgrade to ECE 2 while working full time and after 1 year of service.

Child Care Assistant (CCA) for our location at 611 Guelph St. Candidates applying for this position must be willing and able to work any and all shift between the hours of 7:00 to 6:00 pm.  Candidates must also have the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge about child development
• Experience working in a childcare facility
• 40 hour course required to work in childcare
• Excellent work ethic
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to work independently for short periods of time
• Knowledge of child development
• Experience working with infants and toddlers
• Able to provide all checks required
• Hold a current CPR and First Aid certificate
• Must be age of majority, flexible, friendly, patient and enjoy working with children to enhance their education.
