The ECE will be responsible for:                                                               Demonstrating their understanding of child development theory and principles and applying that understanding into practice. Supervising and engaging children throughout the day, during transition, individual and group activities, and free and structured play. Applying a range of child development approaches, skills, and techniques into practice to optimize each child’s experience and opportunity to learn and develop.  Identifying and managing risks to ensure the safety of all children. Managing behavioral issues.  The candidate must have knowledge and ability in: critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills;  the ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and produce expected outcomes; the ability to work within a team environment with respect, professionalism, cooperation, sensitivity, and cultural awareness.

 

Eligible Candidates

Bright Beginnings for Kids Inc., located in St. Vital,  is looking for a full-time ECE II/III to join our preschool team. Our centre has 1 infant room, 1 toddler room and 3 preschool rooms providing care for children ages 1 to 5 years old. The successful candidate  would be passionate about building a caring community, and welcome diversity, inquiry and exploration. If you are: creative, like to sing, read stories and have fun,  consider joining our team. Must be fluent in English. Applicants must have: - Manitoba ECE II/III classification Current First Aid with Level C CPR Certificate Minimum 1 year experience working with children in a childcare facility. You will be required to provide a clear Police Records Record Check with Vulnerable Persons and Child Abuse Registry Check. Must be fluent in English.
