Early Childhood Educator

Preparing, directing, and assessing the positive development of children by implementing fun, hands on learning experiences and programs according to each child’s individual developmental abilities, interests and needs. Supports families and children needs and by building relationships, sharing information and communicating on any issues that may have an impact on the child.

Position:  Full time

Hours:  40 hours / week

Salary:  $19.53 – $23.98/hour (DOE)

Start Date:  April 3, 2023

An energetic and fun individual who is prepared to engage and plan for all parts of our program including play, supporting children’s needs, outside fun, and physical activities. A problem-solver who is articulate and models compassion and collaboration with adults and children. Hands-on and inventive while mature and responsible.

Requirements: Applicants must be nurturing, flexible and reliable

• Early Childhood Educator II
• Current first aid/CPR certificate
• Current Child Abuse Registry Check (must be date stamped within the last 3 months)
• Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search that must include a transcript of any criminal convictions and/or outstanding charges if applicable (must be date stamped within the last 3 months)
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with emergent curriculum an asset.
• Circle of Security training an asset
