Early Childhood Educator II – Full-time, permanent unionized position

Assiniboine Early Learning Centre in is seeking a Full-time ECE II to fill a permanent unionized position. This individual should be enthusiastic about working with children between the ages of 3 months to 6 years old. We are a provincially licensed centre that run on a 7.5-hour workday.

Specific Qualifications:

·         Early Childhood Education Diploma

·         Experience working with children 3 months – 6 years old

·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, children and parents.

·         Able to work between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. independently, as well as a part of a team.

·         Ability to adapt and be flexible

·         Current First Aid/CPR

·         Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

·         Three professional references

Responsibilities:

·         Understands and complies with the Provincial Best practices Licensing Manual, as well as the AELC policies while providing quality care, and building meaningful relationships with the families of our centre.

·         The Health, Safety and well-being of the children in care

·         Daily cleaning and sanitizing of frequently touched surfaces, equipment and toys, as well as any other areas deemed necessary.

·         Able to plan and implement activities for children, and follow daily schedules

Wage is based on experience, please see wage scale below:
