Gillis Play and Learn Center and Tyndall Play and Learn Center are licensed multi-site facilities offering 139 childcare spaces for children from infancy to school age. Our centers are play-based and nature-focused, with a strong commitment to emergent curriculum and outdoor learning experiences within our community.
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Early Childhood Educator II/III for this role. This leadership position combines classroom excellence with operational oversight, mentorship, administrative responsibilities, and collaboration with the Executive Director. This role is currently covering a maternity leave, with potential to become permanent.
Supervisors work collaboratively to ensure the smooth daily operation of the center, maintaining high standards of care, safety, compliance, and professional practice.
The Ideal Candidate Is
- Education and training from an applicable University/College
- Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Passion for creating a positive, nurturing environment for children
- Current First aid and CPR training
- Circle of Security training is an asset
- Commit to Kids certificate is an asset
- Has at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience Mentoring and Managing Staff is an asset
