Full Description

Leila Day Care Centre is looking for multiple young adults between the age of 18-30 to fill our Summer Grant positions.

We are located in the Garden City area with 71 children aged 12 months to 12 years old.

We have multiple positions available from beginning of May to end of August.

Each position will be 6 weeks in length and the shifts will be between the hours of 730am-530pm depending on the needs of the centre.  Shifts will be between 6 and 8 hours a day.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate Is

We are looking to fill multiple Canada Summer Jobs positions.

If you have the following qualities you might be the right person for the job...

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • Be a Canadian Resident, Permanent Resident or Protected Refugee.
  • Be available between the hours of 730am-530pm for shifts of 6-8 hours with the possibility of split shifts.
  • Be able to plan and execute cultural based activities for Preschool aged children.
  • Be able to plan and execute nature based activities for School Age children.
  • Have experience working with children aged 12 months - 12 years old.
  • Love being outside in all weather exploring nature and the community.
  • Be someone who exemplifies patience, kindness, reliability, punctuality and an amazing work ethic.

Must have the following:

  • Clear Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Clear Child Abuse check
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C
