Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
• Assist with daily activities, planned programming, and opportunities for learning through play.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being while following established safety procedures.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Follow all program policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
• Support staff with daily routines and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Child Care Assistant (CCA) Certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Completion of, or willingness to complete, the required 40-hour course within the first year of employment.
• Previous experience working with children in child care, education, or a related setting is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, responsible, flexible, and willing to adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet all additional licensing and screening requirements under Manitoba child care regulations.
