Landmark Child Care Inc is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual/Substitute Child Care Assistants to join our team and support our program.

Location: Landmark, MB

Position Type: Substitute

About Us:

Landmark Child Care Inc. is a school-age centre, caring for children ages 5-12 years. We are located within Landmark Elementary School. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. 

***Please note, our centre is located outside of Winnipeg; a dependable vehicle is required for commuting to Landmark. Candidates must also be comfortable driving the highways in all seasons.***

Job Description:

As a Substitute Child Care Assistant, you will support our regular staff in providing quality care and supervision to children in our care. Your flexibility and willingness to step in as needed will ensure smooth daily operations and continued positive experiences for the children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with supervising children and maintaining a safe environment

• Support planned activities and play opportunities

• Ensure children's well-being and adherence to safety protocols

• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

• Follow program policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Manitoba Child Care Assistant Certification

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check 

• Completion or willingness to complete 40 hour course within first year of employment

• Experience working with children (child care, teaching, or related field) is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable, flexible, and responsible

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must meet any additional licensing or background check requirements as per Manitoba regulations
