The Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of Early Childhood Educators in the development and implementation of engaging, inclusive, and relationship-based programming for children ages 3 months to 12 years.

This role includes mentoring and training staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment, and promoting reflective practice. The Supervisor provides guidance in curriculum planning, classroom management, and child development while modeling professionalism and strong leadership.

The Supervisor plays a key role in communication—acting as a liaison between educators, families, and leadership—ensuring concerns are addressed and relationships are nurtured. Responsibilities also include staff scheduling, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and supporting daily program operations, including time spent in ratio.

The position ensures compliance with provincial licensing, public health, and safety standards through regular monitoring and audits. The Supervisor contributes to program development and evaluation, using feedback and best practices to continuously improve outcomes for children and families.

This role requires participation in strategic planning, ongoing professional development, and active engagement with the broader early childhood education community. Flexibility is required, including occasional split shifts or evening meetings.

Qualifications include:

  • Early Childhood Education Level 2 (or higher) recognized in Manitoba
  • 3–5 years of experience in early learning environments
  • Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and licensing standards
  • Experience mentoring and supporting educators
  • Familiarity with relationship-based approaches and emotional development frameworks
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with children with all kinds of needs and behaviours
  • willing and able to work during the centers operating times of 7am and 6pm.
