Full Description
Riverview Ashland Child Care- Forest Nursery is a completely outdoor program for 12- 3 to 5 year olds located in the Riverview Community (South Osborne). Our hours of operation are 9 am -3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, year round with 3 seasonal breaks for a total of 39 working weeks annually.
This position is an opportunity to be part of an exciting licensed forest school! Also- assistance paying for records checks, First Aid & 40 hour course possible. Mentorship in the EL&CC field. Support to get your ECE &/or Forest School Training.
RACC is a growing organization with lots of opportunities to try new things in a supportive environment.
We hope to interview potential applicants between June 30th and July 15th for a position start date in August.
The Ideal Candidate Is

Available 20-30 hours a week between the hours of 8:00am-4:00 pm

Classified as a Child Care Assistant/ECE II with the Province of Manitoba

Current First Aid and CPR within a month of starting

Ability to receive a clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry check

A commitment to kindness and caring

A desire to collaborate and build community (prior knowledge of Riverview a serious asset!)

A love of playing outdoors in all weathers and the appropriate outdoor gear to wear

A commitment to learning about and honouring Indigenous ways of learning

Forest School Training Certificate or desire to take training an asset
