Crestview School Children's Centre, a preschool and school age childcare facility is seeking a part time employee (approximately 15 – 20 hours per week) to join our team. This could be an ideal position for a student, as we will do our best to work around your school schedule when possible. Our centre is open 7:00am – 5:30pm so the shifts could be between 7:30 – 10:30 am and/or 2:30 – 5:30pm or something that works for both the centre and you. There is the possibility of an 8-hour straight shift on non-school days when the children are here all day. Position would start immediately.
We are located in Crestview School at 9 - 333 Morgan Crescent which is on a main bus route,
**Note wage is based on individual having their 40 hour Introduction to the Science of Early Childhood Development, or an ELCC recognized equivalent.**

The Ideal Candidate Is
18 years of age or older with experience working in a child care facility in a must
- Possess a clear and current (within the last 3 months) Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as a clear and current (within the last 3 months) Child Abuse Registry Check or be willing to get them ASAP
- Possess a Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Strong professional work ethic, punctuality and reliability are both a MUST
- Open minded with an ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to take initiative as well as take direction
- Dependable, flexible, responsible
- Ability to work well as a team member
- Have a warm, nurturing, fun personality
- Ability to set healthy boundaries while maintaining a warm and developmentally appropriate relationship with children and families in our care
