KinderWorld is a Christian Early Childhood Education Centre committed to providing high-quality care for children of all abilities, from 12 weeks to the end of Grade 5. We offer a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children and families thrive.
Position Summary:
KinderWorld is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to oversee the daily operations of the Centre. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide visionary leadership, manage staff, ensure program excellence, maintain regulatory compliance, and oversee financial and organizational sustainability. This role is ideal for a collaborative, strategic, and hands-on leader passionate about early childhood education and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Curriculum Management
- Oversee high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs and services for children and families.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and hazard-free environment, including health and safety compliance, emergency preparedness, and facility oversight.
- Mentor and support educators in curriculum implementation, program delivery, and family engagement.
- Maintain accurate child records, manage enrollment, and facilitate positive parent communication.
Organizational & Operational Leadership
- Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement strategic goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, legal requirements, and Centre policies.
- Act as liaison between staff, families, external stakeholders, and the Board.
- Manage administrative systems, shared spaces, and Centre operations efficiently.
Financial Management
- Administer and monitor the Centre’s budget, revenue, and expenditures.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to the Board.
- Ensure compliance with subsidy and fee policies and oversee fundraising, grant applications, and resource allocation.
Human Resources Management
- Lead, support, and evaluate staff performance, providing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, staffing, employee relations, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure staff certifications and training are up to date.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified ECE III recognized by Manitoba Early Learning & Child Care (MELCC), or ECE II actively working toward ECE III.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a childcare setting.
- Proficient in Manitoba provincial legislation and regulations relevant to childcare.
- Clean criminal record and child abuse registry checks.
- First Aid and CPR training (or willingness to complete).
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, childcare management, and bookkeeping software.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (asset).
