Staffmax is pleased to assist our friends with finding an Executive Director for S.P.L.A.S.H Childcare Inc., a multi-childcare site, full-time, permanent

Location: Winnipeg, MB
Reports to: Board of Directors, strong administrative and accounting team to back you up, and site supervisors at each location
Pay rate: $ 39.41 - 44.36 hr.

About the Role:
Due to retirement, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for five Child Care Centres, ranging from toddler to school-age, ensuring that all programs reflect the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to inclusive, high-quality early learning. Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Director oversees staff, finances, partnerships, compliance, and community relations, while fostering a positive and collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring programs meet all licensing, safety, and quality standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop staff through effective leadership, performance management, and team building.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Board on policy development, strategic planning, and organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with families, community agencies, and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and municipal legislation, workplace safety, and early learning regulations.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive environment for families and children while supporting continuous program improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education with ECE Level 3 certification and management training.
  • Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a childcare or non-profit organization.
  • Proven skills in human resources, financial oversight, policy management, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of Manitoba’s Early Learning and Child Care Act, Employment Standards, and Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong fundraising, grant writing and community networks are a must
  • Current First Aid/CPR, clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks.
