Victor Play Centre is continuing their search for an Early Childhood Educator II to join our team of dedicated educators as soon as possible. We are offering a full-time position for someone who is passionate about child care, who values early learning, and making a difference in children’s lives.

Victor Play Centre Inc. is an inclusive non-profit child care organization who’s dedicated to promoting, supporting, and enriching the lives of children in the West End area of Winnipeg. Our center is licensed for 46 children, ages 2-12 and is a long-standing pillar in this community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of the children.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
• Connect, correspond, and collaborate with parents/caregivers.
• Assess and document children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Provide support for children with additional needs and unique abilities.
• Facilitate activities that encourage social interaction and emotional development.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 2 Classification in Manitoba
• Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or willingness to obtain during probation).
• Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Search and Child Abuse Check
• Experience in a child care setting preferred
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and child development.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging curriculum for children aged 2 to 12 years old.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting diverse needs and abilities is an asset.
• Experience in an inner-city or diverse urban setting is an asset.
