Landmark Child Care Inc. in search of an Early Childhood Educator 2 or someone in currently in the ECE Program to join our team. This is a full-time term position, with the possibility of permanent placement. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with school-age children (kindergarten to grade 6; 4-12 years old)
• Follow program policies and procedures
• Read the communication book
• Sign in and out of Fastoche timesheet
• Greet staff and families at arrival and departure
• Sign children in and out of Fastoche
• Know the number of children/ratios at all times
• Maintain a high quality, safe and healthy environment
• Be a positive role model
• Follow the daily program schedule
• lmplement activities based on children's interests
• Relay messages from parents to Executive Director and write in communication book
• Assist / complete Fastoche journals
• Update Director about matters regarding staff, program or families as they arise
• Supervise and help children during mealtimes
• Keep the room tidy and free from hazards
• Put away materials, toys and supplies
• Complete cleaning duties
• Take individual photos of children participating in activities or outings using centre devices
• lmplement room arrangements and environment enhancements
• Complete learning stories for children
• Ensure programming is inclusive and meets the developmental abilities, needs and interests of the children
• Support and foster the developmental needs of all children
• Follow behavior management and support policies
• Celebrate unique strengths and characteristics of children and staff
• Use Circle of Security concepts to validate feelings and meet childrent individual needs
• Read and follow individual support plans
• Actively participate in children's play
• Dress for the weather and play outside
• Maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality
