Full Description

Harstone Children's Centre, located in Winnipeg’s vibrant West End, is seeking an ECE II to join our energetic and engaging school-age summer program at our 905 Sargent Ave location.
This summer promises plenty of fun, with weekly field trips and tons of outdoor adventures planned!

 This is a full-time position 9:00 - 5:00. 

This would be an ideal position for someone who works in the school division or who's program is closed for the summer. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and a strong desire to support their growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Ideal Candidate Is

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for school age children 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
  • Provide compassionate attentive care to children. 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and stimulating environment.
  • Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals.

Candidates must have or obtain the following:

  • Child Abuse (with vulnerable sector search) and Criminal Record Check
  • First Aid/CPR
  • ECE 2 Diploma or ECE 2 in training
  • Experience in childcare is an asset
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English
  • Ability to lift push and pull up to 50 pounds
