Full Description

The Tova Vickar & Family Childcare Centre is a newer, non‑profit, Jewish play‑based centre located within Congregation Shaarey Zedek. We are licensed for a total of 44 children, 4 infants and 40 preschoolers. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Early Childhood Educator II or III to join our leadership team as our Supervisor in the Older Preschool Room. This is a full time, permanent position, with benefits being offered after 3 month probationary period.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership — Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and support to Early Childhood Educators and Childcare Assistants.

Program & Environment Oversight — Help maintain a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Regulatory Compliance — Ensure all practices meet Manitoba ELCC regulations and centre policies.

Professional Role Modelling — Demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and respect in all interactions.

Only candidates with valid ECE II or III certification in Manitoba will be considered.

The Ideal Candidate Is

Candidates must have or obtain the following:

  • ECE II or III Certification valid in Manitoba
  • Experience in a supervisor or leadership role preferred
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)
  • Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Commit to Kids Certificate
  • Able to work as a team player
  • Able to think fast and make adjustments as required

  • Knowledge of Emergent Curriculum 

    Knowledge of Jewish traditions is an asset, but not required if open to learning
