We are in NEED of a reliable, high ENERGY, nature-loving, outgoing ECE II who isn’t afraid to get dirty and have tons of FUN with our School-Age groups.

The ideal candidate will have initiative, excellent problem solving skills, and a genuine love for working with children to help them grow and develop into independent individuals ready to take on the world. Experience is preferred.

Split shifts may be necessary to fit the needs of the program.

Harstone Children's Centre is located in Winnipeg’s vibrant West End neighborhood on a major bus route and within walking distance of two other major bus routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities school age children 
• Provide compassionate attentive care while ensuring safety and well-being of the children 
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learning and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized and stimulating environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers.
• Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals.

Candidates must have or obtain the following:

• Child Abuse (with vulnerable sector search) and Criminal Record Check
• First Aid/CPR
• ECE II (CCA with experience may be considered) 
• Proficiency in written and verbal English
• Ability to lift push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move between locations if needed. But not required
