Full Description

Leila Daycare Center Inc.is looking for an experienced Supervisor for the centre. The eligible candidate must have Level 2 and previous experience in a daycare.

Full time shift 930-530, but will consider a Part Time shift as well.

Some of the job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Working on the floor with children aged 2-12 years old.
  • Be able to mentor staff and assist in all programs.
  • Provide programming for the children based on their interests and development.
  • Follow all licensing, best practice and health/safety policies.
  • Communication effectively with parents and other staff.
  • Love going outside in all weather.
  • Assist the Director with administrative duties.
  • Be responsible for the Centre when the Director is away.

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • Early Childhood Education Level II
  • Daycare experience of Minimum 2 year is required
  • Supervisory experience Minimum 2 year is required
  • Experience working with Preschool and School Age children is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times
  • Comfortable using a computer with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and email
  • Asset if comfortable with Child Care Online, Fastoche and Quickbooks
