Full Description
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare Montessori lesson plans, and activities according to the individual development of each child
- Monitor, assess and document student progress
- Keep records of Montessori presentations and write progress reports
- Attend staff meetings
- Attend occasional after-hours staff meetings
- Participate in school activities and accompany students to nearby parks and community spaces
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, clean, stimulating classroom
- Participate in diapering, napping, lunching processes
- Communicate with parents
- Ensure classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
The Ideal Candidate Is
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator Level 2
- Certificate in Montessori Teacher Training (AMI or MACTE) is an asset
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- Criminal Record Check
- C2K Training
- Accessibility Training
- Three professional references
- Ethics certificate is an asset
- Food Handlers certificate is an asset
- Circle of Security is an asset
