Qualifications
- Ece 2 Diploma * All applicants must have Certifications as an Ece 2 from Manitoba Early Learning Child Care
- Clear Child abuse Registry Check required upon hiring, all positions are subject to Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable sector check), however a previous Criminal Record does not automatically disqualify Candidates.
- Abecedarian training and Experience are an asset but training is avail.
- Knowledge and ability to implement effective positive guidance techniques, using Circle of Security is an asset, but training is avail.
- Valid CPR/First Aid training
- Knowledge of Indigenous Culture, and cultural sensitivity.
- Experience working with children with additional support needs.

Manidoo Gi-Mini Gonaan Lord Selkirk Park location is looking for an Experienced Ece 2, who values and understands the importance of developing the whole image of the child. Here at Manidoo we are the model center of Abecedarian, we use the key components of the Abecedarian approach, Circle of security to implement programming that is based on the individual needs of each child, while ensuring that all areas of development are met using Enriched caregiving, Language Priority, Learning experiences and Conversational reading to meet all areas of development while ensuring that emotional and social development and literacy are included. Our goal is to increase Emotional Intelligence, develop secure attachments, repair ruptures and develop increased literacy skills to enrich the image of the child and create resilience in the future generations. We focus our attention on primary caregivers who develop intentional relationship to ensure that all needs through purposeful interactions are developed, this allows staff to learn about children and their families on a deeper level and provide wrap around services and create early interventions and create long lasting changes for our children, their families and the community we serve. We believe it takes a village to raise a child and this reflects in our everyday practices with all who walk through Manidoo’s doors.
