Full Description
We have 3 preschool programs, licensed for 16 children ages 2-5 years in each room.
The ideal candidate will work with a strong team including the program Supervisor, co-workers, families and the Assistant Director to provide a safe, caring and educational environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for preschool
- Provide additional support within the program to help co-regulate children with additional support needs
- Ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times
- Implement and complete daily routines/ transitions/ various cleaning duties
- Provide compassionate attentive care to children
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learning and development
- Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers
- Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals

The Ideal Candidate Is
- Reliable
- Experience with Preschool
- Team player
- Familiar with emergent curriculum/play-based approach
- Familiar with Circle of Security philosophy an asset but not required
- Able to take initiative and think outside the box
- Eligible candidates must obtain/provide:
- ECE classification
- First Aid/CPR
- Commit to Kids Certificate
- Current Criminal/Child Abuse Check
- Center-provided Circle of Security training
