Niigaanaki Day Care Centre, located in downtown Winnipeg, is seeking an ECE II to join our community-minded and family-centered preschool childcare program.

The successful candidate will have: 

*Minimum 2 years of experience working with preschool children in a program setting is an asset. 

*Minimum ECE II certification under Early Learning and Child Care, Manitoba 
*Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification 
*Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check 
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
*Ability to complete written documentation for families and regulators/support professionals in English
*Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to a multi-faceted environment. 
*Solid organizational skills, ability to show initiative. 

*Experience working with families from various nations around the world and families with social challenges.
*Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach and Inquiry-based learning.
*Experience with pedagogical documentation, observational report writing and knowledge to assist when completing developmental assessments on children.

*Experience as a mentor (students/substitutes/new staff) is beneficial.

This position is FULL TIME, 8 hours per day. 

The salary range is $28.36– $36.20, to be determined by level of experience.
