Wild Honey Children's Centre is looking to hire a Director for our centre. 

The Director is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and daily operations of the childcare centre. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Director ensures the centre operates in accordance with provincial childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and the organizations policies and values. 

The Director provides leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace. They are responsible for staff supervision, scheduling, hiring, professional development while ensuring high-quality early learning programs are delivered to all children in care.

The Director will maintain strong relationships with families and the community, ensuring clear communication and a welcoming environment for all. They will also oversee administrative duties including enrollment, budgeting support, record keeping, and maintaining compliance with Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator Level 3 (ECE III) certification is required.
  • Previous leaderships or supervisory experience in a childcare setting if preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, commuincation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and the Board of Directors.
  • Strong problems solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification and clear Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.

Wild Honey is licensed for 54 children, 24 in our preschool program and 30 in our school age program.  Our hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.  We are located at 811 St Paul Avenue, close to Portage Avenue and Arlington Street.   Please apply via e-mail at whoney@mymts.net.  Only applicants chosen for an interview will be contacted.
