Splash Early Learning Centre wants you! You are a keeper because you are an organized and experienced child care assistant willing to change the lives of children in our city.

Our preschool environments are licensed for 64 children, our infant environments are licensed for 28 children and currently our school age program is licensed for 40 children. We provide a mix of nature based  and child led curriculum experiences. We have been a part of the childcare community for 40 years with this location opening its doors in March 2022. Our 109 Pulford St. location is part of the beautiful picturesque historic neighborhood of Osborne Village. Splash Early Learning Centre is an active participant in this vital and vivid community. Are you passionate about nature and the outdoors? Our program offers the opportunity to love nature and the outdoors We are all about child-led adventures and getting our hands dirty with nature-based learning. Come learn about our Forest School  program and nature based curriculum.  Our  strong pedagogical philosophy will  guide you as we mentor you on our  collaborative approach to curriculum. Our daily adventures  are  enhanced by the surrounding beautiful parks and eclectic play spaces that  offers the children outdoor experiences connecting with nature in its urban surroundings like community gardening.

  • Helping little explorers discover and learn through play and nature.
  • Building awesome connections with kids and their families.
  • Teaming up with our fantastic crew to create a fun and safe space.
  • Sharing the Splash love in our monthly newsletters and meetings.
  • Embracing all-weather outdoor adventures! This   summer student position offers you full time, 37.5 hours for  8 weeks.

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • *A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person whom refugee projection has been conferred under Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C.2002,c.27*; legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. 
  • *Between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be available for 8 weeks straight through summer
  • 40 hour course certification (is an asset)
  • CCA classification under the Province of Manitoba( ELCC) 
  • Current Emergency First Aid & AED -  Level C 
  • Completed criminal background and child abuse registry checks required under vulnerable sector
  • Preferred minimum 2 years experience working as a CCA 
  • Splash values professional behaviors such as strong work ethic, accountability and consistent customer service. 
  • Candidate should  be passionate about child development and learning alongside children  outdoors in all types of weather and  have the ability to build strong relationships with the children by being reliable and consistent in your attendance. 
  • In keeping with our Mission and Values, successful candidate must be kind and caring above all things.  
  • Candidate will participate in monthly newsletters and  staff meetings  
  • Additional assets include Commit to kids, Circle of Security training, play based and land based learning in a child care setting.40 hour course certification ( or equivalent of)
