O.K. Before & After School Child Care Centres Inc. is a multi-site Organization in the Seven Oaks/Maples Area. We are looking for a fun and reliable Child Care Assistant to join one of our programs. This position is 7 hours per day for the months of July and August.
A successful candidate for this position would be passionate about building a caring community, welcome diversity, inquiry and exploration. We foster respectful and nurturing relationships with the child’s development in mind. We are looking for individuals who are reflective, dynamic and open to new challenges.
The Ideal Candidate Is
Applicants must have:
- CCA classification from the Province of Manitoba
- Current First Aid with Level C CPR Certificate
- Will need to provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons and Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Must have completed or be enrolled in the 40 hour program of studies as required by the Province of Manitoba (with the first year).
- Experience working with children in a related environment is preferred.

Strong team work and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with children, families and staff.
- For the Canada Summer Grant requirements, staff must be between the ages of 18-30 years of age and
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job and
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- This includes having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of their summer job
