Discovery Children’s Centre is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and teachable Child Care Assistant to join our team in our Christian Preschool Room Monday to Friday. 

At Discovery, we are committed to fostering meaningful inclusion and connecting children with nature in all aspects of our programming.  Since Discovery believes that gender balance is good for young children we encourage males to apply. 

Position Details:

• Hourly Wage: Starting at $19.40
• Hours of Operation: 7:00 am-5:30 pm (Staff work a 1/2 hour split shift 7:30-4:30, 7:45-4:45 or 8:30-5:30 possibility of rotating)
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning activities rooted in Christian values
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment where children feel loved and valued
• Encourage curiosity, kindness, and respect among students
• Incorporate Bible stories, prayer, and worship into daily routines
• Communicate openly with families about each child’s development and faith journey
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to maintain a joyful, Christ-centered classroom
