Full Description
We are looking for a caring, energetic, compassionate and reliable CCA to join our team!
We are located in Ecole Waterford Springs School. We are licensed for 134 children. We have 6 rooms plus the MPR room in the school.
We have 3 positions available the shift will vary based on the needs of the children and the centre. We have a separate private staff room for you to use for lunch and planning. We have 1 hour lunch half hour is paid and half hour is unpaid.
We offer Professional Development days and fun staff events. Our staff meetings are via zoom once a month except summer unless needed. Staff are able to bank that time to use at a later time.
The Inclusion worker will work in the rooms to enhance the ratio and provide support to children who are requiring additional support. The positions may also include working in the school age program along with preschool or toddler.
The Ideal Candidate Is
-Patient, flexible able to work with a variety of children with addition needs
-Able to work as part of a team
-Can bend, lift (up to 50 lbs) and play on the floor with the children. Along with running, jumping playing inside and outside.
-Has experience working as an inclusion worker in a child care setting. Main focus is the needs of the children.
-Able to communicate and write in English
-Creative thinking, great problem solving skills, able to access the needs of the children
-Willing to submit a criminal records check (vulnerable sector), and child abuse registry check
-Current First Aid and CPR level C
-40 hour course for Child Care
-Classified in the province of Manitoba as a CCA (Child Care Assistant)
-Certificate of Commit to Kids, Accessibility and Circle of Security an asset
-Understanding of Emergent Curriculum and able to implement to help involve the children
We have 3 positions available shifts vary based on the needs of the children and the centre. The position might be in both school age and preschool programs.
