Ashworth Children's Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre located in the St. Vital community of Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are licensed by Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Manitoba, offering 133 licensed spaces for children from 3 months to 12 years of age. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Our experienced educators foster learning through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships while supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The Ideal Candidate Is
-Patient, fun, outgoing, energetic, and flexible
- proven ability to build relationship with school aged children.
-Can bend, lift, and play on the floor with the children. Able to work indoors and outdoors.
- Has experience working an inclusion position in an early childhood care setting.
-At least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
-willing to submit a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector), and Child Abuse Registry check
-Current First aid and CPR level C
-40 hour course
-Classified in the province of Manitoba as a CCA (Child Care Assistant)
-Certificate of Circle of Security is an asset
We are currently hiring a Part time CCA. This person is an energetic individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience to work as a CCA within our organization. the current roll within the team will be to work to enhance the ratio for inclusion in the school age program, but at times may be asked to help out in other areas of the program.
The hours would be: part time Monday – Friday 2:45-5:15 with opportunity to pick up more hours within the program.
We offer:
Vacation pay in leu of time off accruing at 4%
Paid sick time accruing at 5.8% (the equivalent of 15 days if a full time work year)
2 discretionary days available per year.
Staff meetings, professional development, and program planning time are on paid time
