Westwood Community Child Care is looking for a Child Care Assistant to join our team!  We are a school-age centre located in Sansome School in the community of Westwood with 70 licensed spaces (Kindergarten to Grade 5). Some of the responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• Greet families and children warmly upon arrival each day
• Read the communication book to be in the know of important information
• Supervise children and maintain staff to child ratios
• Sign children in/out using our Fastoche system
• Relay messages to families
• Guide children's behaviour as per the Centre's policies
• Re-direct, help problem solve, and provide acceptable choices for children
• Plan and implement activities with the children
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Prepare and serve morning/afternoon snacks
• Be aware of evacuation procedures
• Take initiative, be a team player
• Communicate effectively and fluently
• Maintain confidentiality
