Full Description
Purple Monkey Child Care Corp. is searching for an energetic, committed child care assistant to work at our Linden Meadows location. Must be available to work between the hours of 7:15 - 5:30. Hours needed are before school, lunch time, and after school during school days. Straight shifts may be available on inservice days, and all school breaks.
This position is a part-time casual position. Candidate must be willing to work at all three of our centres. Hours are based on availability and needs of each centre.
Our centre offers paid lunch breaks, paid professional development and paid staff meetings with dinner provided.
The Ideal Candidate Is
Must have:
- a Child Care Assistant Certificate through MELCC
-current first aid/cpr
-child abuse registry (within 3 months)
-criminal record check with vulnerable sector (within 3 months)
-completed 40 hour course (within first year of employment)
-Commit to Kids certificate or willing to obtain
-accessibility certificate or willing to obtain
-experience working with school age children is an asset
-strong written and oral communication in the English language
-positive attitude, a team player, takes initiative and guidance and is flexible
-minimum age to apply is 18 years
