We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and the ability to engage them in meaningful activities that promote their development. This role involves providing care and support to children, ensuring their safety, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Duties

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
• Changing diapers and supporting toileting
• Engage children in play, storytelling, and other interactive activities to stimulate their imagination.
• Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, feeding, diapering, and dressing.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment including sweeping, mopping and sanitizing.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive team environment focused on the well-being of the children.

Skills

• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on nurturing children's needs.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is preferred.
• Experience working with children of various ages in classroom or daycare settings.
• Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with both children and parents.
• Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is a plus, ensuring inclusivity in care practices.
