O.K. Before & After School Child Care Centres Inc. is a multi-site Organization in the Seven Oaks/Maples Area. We are looking for a fun and reliable Child Care Assistant to join one of our School Age programs. This position is part time, and would be afternoons only (3 hours per day) with more hours available on school Inservice Days and during Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer.
A successful candidate for this position would be passionate about building a caring community, welcome diversity, inquiry and exploration. We foster respectful and nurturing relationships with the child’s development in mind. We are looking for individuals who are reflective, dynamic and open to new challenges.
The Ideal Candidate Is
Applicants must have:
- CCA classification from the Province of Manitoba
- Current First Aid with Level C CPR Certificate
- Will need to provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons and Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Must have completed or be enrolled in the 40 hour program of studies as required by the Province of Manitoba (with the first year).
- Experience working with children in a related environment is preferred.
- Strong team work and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with children, families and staff.
