Full Description
Canada Summer Jobs is a program, which aims to provide quality summer employment opportunities for youth to develop skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.
We are fortunate to have been granted these grants for the summer of 2025 and are still looking for 4 applicants to join us. We are hiring for 3 positions in the West Kildonan area at our Governor Semple, Sunny Mountain(Main street), and 1 bilingual position at our Belmont location.
We are open Monday to Friday 6:45am-5:30pm during the summer time and these position will be 8 weeks long with possibility of extension from the centre.
In this position you will be working with other ECE's and CCA's to help give the children a great summer experience, through play, field trips, art, science, outdoor play, guest visitors to the centre
You will be expected to interact with the children, light house keeping, monitoring safety, planning and supporting fun activities
The Ideal Candidate Is
To be eligible, youth must:
• be between 18 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*;
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident.
• have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Available for 8 consecutive weeks Between June 23rd and August 22, 2025.
- Have or willing to obtain a recent (within 3 months)Criminal record check, child abuse check, their first aid/cpr training
- Able to work in the hours of 6:45am-5:30pm Monday to Friday
- Enjoys engaging with children
- Takes direction from other team members
- Wants to have a great summer, supporting children's development, interests, learning, and playing outside
