Full Description

This is a newly created position designed to strengthen our financial oversight, compliance, and reporting processes.

Primary Responsibilities – Bookkeeping & Finance

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Monthly reconciliations and month-end accounting
  • Fee billing, tracking, and reporting
  • Accurate financial reporting in compliance with Manitoba childcare regulations
  • Administration and reporting related to:
    • ISP Support Grant Programs
    • ELCC Support Grant Programs
    • Facility and operational funding reports
  • Pension administration and reporting with Canada Life
  • Benefits coordination with Blue Cross
  • Support budgeting, audits, and financial reviews as required

Administrative & Leadership Support

  • Provide operational and reporting support to the Executive Director
  • Assist with internal systems, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute as a collaborative member of the daycare leadership team

     

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • An experienced bookkeeper with hands-on knowledge of Sage (mandatory)
  • Well-versed in Manitoba childcare funding, grants, and reporting
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Comfortable managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Confident working independently while supporting a leadership team
  • Motivated to work in a daycare environment and contribute positively to a Catholic organization
  • Experience with Fastoche Management Program
  • Professional, trustworthy, and committed to accuracy and compliance
  • An ECE II or ECE III - ** Child Care Assistant (may be considered if all experience is met)
