Richmond Kings Nursery School Inc. is a non-profit, charitable, licensed nursery school located in Winnipeg. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director/Teacher to lead our program.

This is a dual role, split between in-classroom teaching and administrative director duties. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position while still being actively involved with children in the classroom.

Position Highlights

• Summers off (June, July, and August)
• Winter Break and Spring Break off
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Salary in accordance with the MCCA salary scale

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise children in the classroom
• Oversee staff scheduling and programming
• Develop and maintain policies and practices
• Collect and receipt parent fees and other revenues
• Submit biweekly payroll hours to the accountant
• Submit monthly facility attendance reports
• Write and submit grant proposals
• Manage the facility and liaise with the landlord
• Order and maintain supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• ECE III certification required
• 5+ years of directly related experience in a director or supervisor role in a licensed child care or nursery school setting is strongly preferred
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communicator and team motivator
• Energetic, hands-on leader
• Proficiency in basic accounting tasks and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, and financial recordkeeping systems)
• Reasonable computer skills and comfort using technology in an administrative setting
