Sister MacNamara Preschool and Infant Day Care is hiring a Centre Supervisor. This is a permanent full-time position. We offer competitive salaries and full benefits. We are licensed for 8 infants between the ages of 12 weeks to 2 years and 32 preschool children between the ages of 2-6 years. We are a well-established program of 31 years, prioritize members in our community, have a respectful and caring work environment and simply just a great place to work!

 

The supervisor oversees all aspects of frontline program, leads our current team of 10 ECE’s/CCA’s, responsible for some administrative duties, works in partnership with the Executive and Assistant Directors and acts as designate in their absence.

 

Specific job duties include but not limited to:

-full participant in hiring process of staff, responsible for orientation, provide leadership and mentoring to entire staff team and completing performance appraisals 

-arrangement of staff schedules and conducting monthly staff meetings

-full participation in planning, implementation and evaluation of emergent curriculum program

-complete emergency evacuations, health & safety checklists and ensure all health and safety procedures in place

-orientation of new families

-administrative duties in Executive Director’s absence to include but not limited to: invoicing, receipting, deposits, facility reporting, ISP staffing grant reports, etc.

The Ideal Candidate Is

Candidates must have:

-ECE II/III classification

-minimum 5 years experience in early learning and child care

-minimum 3 work related references

-current first aid and CPR certification

-current child abuse registry and criminal record checks

- knowledges of the ELCC regulations and best practices 

-organizational and time management skills

-computer skills and knowledge

-ability to work within a team and have strong leadership skills

-strong communication skills

-ability to work well under stress, strong problem-solving skills

-a constant positive attitude

-have a commitment to continuous learning
