Victor Play Centre Inc. is an inclusive non-profit child care organization dedicated to promoting, advancing, and enriching the lives of children in the Wellington (West End) area of Winnipeg. Our center is government subsidized and licensed for 46 children, ages 2-12, by the Province of Manitoba.
As an Early Childhood Educator your job description is as follows:
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of young children.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Collaborate with parents/caregivers.
- Assess and document children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide support for children with additional needs and unique abilities.
- Facilitate activities that encourage social interaction and emotional development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Manitoba ECE II or ECE III classification.
- Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Search and Child Abuse Check
- Strong understanding of play-based learning and child development.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging curriculum for children aged 2 to 12 years old.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A passionate Early Childhood Educator II or III to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children, contributing to our mission of enriching their lives through inclusive practices.
- Experience supporting diverse needs and abilities is an asset.
- Experience in an inner-city or diverse urban setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of child development, inclusive practices and trauma informed care (preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail (preferred).
- Leadership experience is considered an asset (preferred).
