Full Description

Victoria Albert Daycare Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced ECE 2 to fulfill a term position in our programs.  

  • Term position is June 1, 2025-June 1, 2026 with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate
  • Trained in Circle of Security
  • Cleared Criminal Record Check (within 3 months of hire date), including vulnerable sector search
  • Cleared Child Abuse Registry Check (within 3 months of hire date)
  • Commit to Kids training (2 certificates)
  • Respect in Schools Certificate
  • Accessibility Training (3 modules/certificates)
  • Current First Aid/CPR C
  • Food Handler's Certificate (considered an asset)

  • ECE 2 designation from ELCC Manitoba

     

The Ideal Candidate Is

 

  • Experienced in working with ages 3-12 years old
  • Ability to work any shift between the hours of 6:45am-5:45pm Monday to Friday
  • Friendly, outgoing, and passionate about childcare
  • Familiar with Circle of Security and practices it daily in all aspects of childcare
  • Creative and open to new and exciting ideas
  • Flexible 
  • Adaptable
  • Lifelong learner
  • Ability to work in either of our preschool or school age programs
  • Team player; working with educators as a group, leader, and/or individually
  • Excellent communicator (oral, written, conversational)
  • Ability to problem solve, multitask, think quick on your feet
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills for working with children, families, and educators
  • Familiar with technology (using Ipads, emails, taking pictures, etc)
  • Positive guidance techniques
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Self-starter; can work independently with minimal direction when needed
