In addition to these lifestyle benefits we are a small and intimate center with our current enrolment at 13 children. Our center is located in the town complex, one large building containing the health center, gym, indoor play grounds, pool, bowling alley, weight room, library, school, hockey rink and more. This makes for easy access to additional resources for the children and yourself.
The Lil’Cubs Centre Co-ordinator, is responsible for the day to day operations of the Children’s Centre including programming for children, supervision of the staff, collaboration with other leaders at the Churchill Health Centre. The Coordinator is also expected to ensure the daycare is in compliance with all provincial standards and policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Successful completion of Criminal Record checks and Child Abuse Registry check and Investigation Authorization (1A) Form.
- Moderate to strong computer skills is an asset.
- Confidence working within Day care related applications, strong competence with Microsoft suite, and other websites or applications.
- Creative problem-solving skills, skilled at change management and the ability to nurture positive change with staff, children and parents.
- Exhibits an empathetic and professional approach to dealing with parents, staff and children in the Children’s Centre.
- Maintains the highest standard of confidentiality at all times.
Physical Requirements
- Possible heavy lifting.

- Possible contact with children with aggressive behaviour.
- Other demands as it pertains to position.
- Potential for exposure to various forms of communicable diseases at all times.
- Periods of time working in uncomfortably hot conditions.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
The Ideal Candidate Is
Someone with an ECE (II or III) and willing to move to Churchill Manitoba.
