S.P.L.A.S.H. Child Care Inc. wants you! You are a keeper because you are an organized and experienced Child Care Assistant willing to change the lives of children in our city.
Our school age environment is licensed for 46 children, 16 preschool and 30 school age children. We provide a mix of nature based and child led curriculum experiences. We have been a part of the childcare community for 39 years with this location. Our McKenzie location is part of the beautiful community based neighborhood of William Whyte/Point Douglas as an active participant .
You love nature and our Forest School intrigues you. A strong pedagogical philosophy guides your collaborative approach to curriculum, but you want more when working individually and with your team. Our nature based environment is enhanced by the surrounding parks, play spaces and offers the children outdoor experiences connecting with nature in its urban surroundings like community gardening.

The Ideal Candidate Is
The successful candidate will have the following requirements:
- Child care Assistant classification in Manitoba
- Current First Aid level C & AED
- Completed criminal background and child abuse registry checks required under vulnerable sector (within 3 months)
- Completed 40 hour course
- Preferred experience working in child care
- Splash values professional behaviors such as strong work ethic, accountability and consistent customer service.
- Candidate should be passionate about child development and learning alongside children outdoors in all types of weather and have the ability to build strong relationships with the children by being reliable and consistent in your attendance.
- In keeping with our Mission and Values, successful candidate must be kind and caring above all things.
- Candidate will participate in monthly newsletters and staff meetings
- Additional assets include Circle of Security training, play based, land based learning in a child care setting and Commit to Kids. If you are interested in acquiring COS training, we have our own COS facilitator!
