Hours: Part time, ~26 hours/week September-May. M/W/F Morning and Afternoon, T/Th mornings only

Salary Range: Compensation is in line with the Manitoba Child Care Association Salary Guideline Scale.

Reports to: Preschool Director / Teacher

Working with: Children in the 3 & 4 year old program

About us:

Van Belleghem French Immersion Preschool will be located in École Van Belleghem School. We have currently been relocated to General Vanier School for the last 3 years and are now in the process of moving back. We are not part of the Louis Riel School Division as it is operated as a separate non-profit entity.

The Preschool offers a gentle introduction to the French language through games, songs and the repetition of everyday words throughout the routines. Our objective is to introduce the children to the organized classroom, to promote healthy social interactions through play, to include all children, to provide support to meet the needs of every child, to promote the development of fine and gross motor skills, to encourage the appreciation and enjoyment of music, and to ensure the children are apart of a quality Preschool environment where they feel loved, cared for and are safe!

Required Qualifications:

• CCA Certification through ELCC.

• Bilingual in the French language: spoken and written

• Current First Aid/CPR-C

• Child Abuse Registry (within 3 months)

• Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (within 3 months)

• Commit to Kids certificate (or willing to obtain prior to employment)

• Accessible Customer Service certificate (or willing to obtain prior to employment)

• Completed 40 Hour course (or within first year of employment)
