Splash Early Learning Centre wants you! You are a keeper because you are an organized and experienced child care assistant willing to change the lives of children in our city.

Our preschool environments are licensed for 64 children, our infant environments are licensed for 28 children and currently our school age program is licensed for 40 children. We provide a mix of nature based  and child led curriculum experiences. We have been a part of the childcare community for 39 years with this location opening its doors in March 2022. Our 109 Pulford St. location is part of the beautiful picturesque historic neighborhood of Osborne Village. Splash Early Learning Centre is an active participant in this vital and vivid community. You love nature and our Forest School intrigues you. Your curriculum is off the hook! A strong pedagogical philosophy guides your collaborative approach to curriculum, but you want more. Our nature based, environment aware, child led curriculum is enhanced by the surrounding beautiful parks and eclectic play spaces that  offers the children outdoor experiences connecting with nature in its urban surroundings like community gardening.

This position offers you full time, 37.5 hours a week with a benefits package including Manulife, Pension, MCCA membership, 3 weeks vacation time after 1 full year , and a competitive salary on the Splash salary scale based on the ELCC pay scale.

The Ideal Candidate Is

 

 The successful  candidate will have the following requirements:

  • 40 hour course certification ( or equivalent of)
  • CCA classification under the Province of Manitoba( ELCC) 
  • Current Emergency First Aid & AED -  Level C 
  • Completed criminal background and child abuse registry checks required under vulnerable sector
  • Preferred minimum 2 years experience working as a CCA 
  • Splash values professional behaviors such as strong work ethic, accountability and consistent customer service. 
  • Candidate should  be passionate about child development and learning alongside children  outdoors in all types of weather and  have the ability to build strong relationships with the children by being reliable and consistent in your attendance. 
  • In keeping with our Mission and Values, successful candidate must be kind and caring above all things.  
  • Candidate will participate in monthly newsletters and  staff meetings  
  • Additional assets include Circle of Security training, play based and land based learning in a child care setting. If you are interested in acquiring COS training, we have our own COS facilitator!
