Prairie Nature Children's Centre, in Transcona, is hiring CCA's for our 8 week term 'Canada Summer Jobs' positions for our preschool and school age programs.

PNCC is an inclusive, play and nature based child care center.  

 

*Eligible applicants must be:

  1.  between 18 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
  2.  a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27*; and
  3.  legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

 

Available terms: 35 hours/week

June 30-August 22, 2025 *1 available

The Ideal Candidate Is

The chosen candidate must have:

  • CCA Certification through ELCC
  • Current First Aid/CPR-C 
  • Child Abuse Registry (within 3 months)
  • Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (within 3 months)
  • Commit to Kids certificate
  • Accessible Customer Service certificate
  • Completed 40 Hour course (within first year of employment)

Assets:

  • Circle of Security Certificate
  • Best Choices: Code of Ethics Certificate
  • Flexible, able to adapt quickly to change, and possess the ability to take initiative 
    • Self-motivated :)
  • Able to maintain positive relationships and work in partnership with children, families, and Educators 
  • Child care experience and a love of the outdoors!
