Full Description
Key responsibilities include planning developmentally appropriate activities, fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders, confident room awareness and group control, interest in working in a team based environment. Flexibility and time management skills are an asset.
Qualifications include:
- 40 hour course
- Classified with ELCC as a Child Care Assistant
- current first aid and CPR
- clear child abuse and criminal record checks (reimbursed after probation)
- must be available before and after school hours
- working conditions include standing, bending, lifting materials, long periods of concentration, and year round indoor and outdoor working conditions.

The Ideal Candidate Is
A childcare assistant who has minimum two years experience working with children. This individual must be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive. Our program is based on mutual respect and spending time outdoors. We strive for a Circle of Security philosophy to teamwork and caregiving.
This position is in the before and after school program. It has guaranteed 20 hours a week, with full days on in-services, winter and spring breaks, and summer.
